oh bananas!

ready, set...

the room is done, the teeny tiny clothes are washed, the bag is packed...

now I am just waiting for a baby...

nothing happening so far today. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon, and at my appointment on Friday I was told that we would be discussing a date for induction...my idea for a date? as soon as possible please! tomorrow right after my appointment maybe?

Did I mention that I am ready to go??

Right now I am just worried that I wont know when things are getting started if they happen to happen on their own. With Anna, I was checked in to the hospital and hooked up to everything for a while before things got bad enough to be painful and I dont really remember what all that (labor, etc) felt like...am I going to know if things happen?

my daddy made it...

Johnny is very talented at many things. One of the things I love is that he can get an idea in his head to make something, go out in the garage, find the materials to do it and make it. One such idea was that he wanted to make Anna a ring. He got the idea, and a short time later Anna had a ring to perfectly fit her tiny finger. She doesnt wear it all the time because I am afraid that she will take it off somewhere and lose it, but here it is!

scrapping fun

I am so excited to announce that I have rejoined the team at A Million Little Things as of this month. There are lots of great projects posted in their gallery and my stuff is posted there as well, but I figured I would share it here too :)

 

 

 

yep, still working on Anna's first year scrapbook...she is about 7 months old in it right now and I am going to work on it again today!

how we spent our fourth...

of course it was spent taking lots and lots (and LOTS) of pictures, but we also spent a good part of the day with Johnny's dad and step mom. Before we went over there though, we had to take some pictures of Little Miss Independence in her holiday outfit, complete with sparkly hair goodies...

 

 

once at Johnny's dad's house, we had some YUMMY bbq ribs and other goodies...all prepared by Johnny's stepmom Nancy. At this point, we took off Anna's dress while she ate, and I guess from there she decided that it was best to spend the rest of the afternoon in all her glory (get it? glory? 4th of July?...my one lame attempt at humor ;)) running through the sprinklers (pictures best not shared here...) and eating an orange popsicle...

 

after it was dark, we headed home only to find out that our neighbors put on a huge fireworks show in the street in front of their house, which Anna LOVED. Guess we have never been home early enough to see it. Something to definitely plan on doing next year!

38 weeks, appointment #1

Had my first appointment and non stress test for my 38th week. No change from last week so we wont be having a baby tonight (as far as I know...). I am ready to be done, so ready, but hopefully if nothing changes this week they still stick to the plan of inducing labor next week

whoa...

just looked at my blog for the first time in a while and realized that the little widget over there on the right shows that I only have 17 days to go until my "actual" due date. Dont honestly think I will go that long, but it is amazing to think that if I did, I may have my baby girl in my arms in that short amount of time!

In some ways this pregnancy has gone by so fast, and in others it seems to have taken so long...either way, I just cant believe that in just a little while I will have two little girls!

beach day

 

a few weeks ago, we took a trip to the beach, just johnny, anna and i. it was a nice relaxing day (maybe for me only...I think johnny was completely worn out by playing in the sand all day and running in and out of the water with anna...)

it has been a few weeks from the trip, but i still wanted to share some pictures from the day. the weather was awesome. we left home thinking that it would be cloudy and overcast at the beach because that is exactly how it was here, but when we got there the sun was out and the temperature was perfect. sometimes you just get lucky. we had so much fun that while we were there, we already started talking about when we would be back...

first friends...and one of my oldest friends...

our friends Anthony and Julie have been visiting California for the last few days and yesterday we went to their baby shower. It has been awesome seeing them, and since we are both pregnant with little girls, we had to get a picture together with our baby bellies...just remember...she isnt due until October so it is ok that my belly is WAY bigger than hers...lol!

 

 Julie and I met in the 11th grade and she and her husband Anthony are the ones that set Johnny and I up. Since I have known her since I was 16, she qualifies as one of my friends that i have known the longest, which got me wondering if our girls will be friends for just as long...

today...

went to the doctor's office for my second 36 week appointment and an ultrasound. baby girl is still a girl (yea! no last minute surprises!) and according to the ultrasound is right on schedule for her growth and is not huge (another yea!). so, if all goes according to plan, we should be meeting this little one in about 2 1/2 weeks or so.

anna is watching the movie Cars, one of the three movies she will choose to watch regularly (the others being Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc). I think she has been spoiled by the Pixar company because she pretty much wont watch anything pre-Pixar lately.

Littlest girl's room is just about done. We are now just waiting for the arrival of her curtains, which according to UPS tracking should be here on Tuesday the 30th.

Finishing up last minute shopping for someone in the house's birthday.... :)
